Objectives:

Construction of the mathematical apparatus of classical mechanics and its application to three specific problems: the Keplerian problem, the movement of a rigid body and Euler's three-body problem; the importance of mathematical modelling, not only in the study of phenomena in themselves but also in the forwarding of new mathematical theory.

• To be able to formulate, solve and describe some simple mechanical problems.
